The Rice Lake Rotary Club is sponsoring a Native Plant Demonstration Project with the mission of raising public awareness of the impact of runoff to our lakes and rivers from pesticides and other debris. Take a look around this site to learn the benefits of a natural habitat lake and consider this as a link to on-line resources to learn more on how you can be proactive in improving the water quality of Rice Lake.
This project consists of planting native plants on the boulevard at the corner of Knapp and Main St. in Rice Lake. The plants include species that grow well under trees or canopies, provide interesting flowers and also provide nice borders along the edges of properties. We have brochures available for you to preview the different types of plants used in this demonstration. The brochures are available at the Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce or by sending a request to Rice Lake Rotary, P.O. Box 321, Rice Lake, WI.54868
